Dang! Tour listing says "Church Road: Napier" not "Christchurch" as in the article.
Guess I've got a very long drive ahead of me!
Just wondering who will be supporting the side shows of the "ADOTG" shows. I'm a hammond organ player vocalist and I'm just about to release my debut album. I'm would absolutely love the opportunity to play alongside Steve. Here's is a link to one of my songs. It's very Procol Harum. http://www.reverbnation.com/play_now/song_7715711.
If anyone can pass this on to Steve that would be awesome. Worth a shot :-)
It's very likely Steve will outshine. I imagine the current Steely Dan band as more of backup.
Steve Winwood is one of my all time favourite musicians - great to see he is coming downunder & I will see him @ Sirromet Brisbane
Steve (spook)
I read that Steve has never been to New Zealand, so will be good to see him after all this time. He could potentially upstage Steely Dan - being a better and more versatile singer than Donald Fagen. However the Steely Dan is a polished sound, even if somewhat nerdish. Actually they seem a bit like oil and water to me! How do they end up on the same bill?
I saw him in 1990 in Sydney and I am thrilled beyond mere words that he's coming back! Wow, I was 21 back then and now I'll be turning 42... Ross, what's the story with fan club tickets?? Pre-sale tickets start at midday tomorrow...
hi alicia
we will indeed be offering fan club tickets
regards
ross
